Growing up, haldi doodh (turmeric milk) was every sick kid's nightmare 😂. I have childhood memories of being chased around the house with this dreaded tumbler of yellow colored milk...but in all seriousness, our elders were on to something!
This magic potion has grabbed a lot of limelight in the last few years and rightly so. It is packed with the anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties of turmeric.
Pepper has its own anti-inflammatory properties but combined with turmeric can do wonders!
Add a pinch of cinnamon and cardamom to the mix for sweetness and gut health, a dash of local honey for the upcoming allergy season and there - you have a magic potion that will calm your body before bed and boost your immunity.

Recipe For Turmeric Milk

  • Heat 1 cup of milk of your choice over medium flame
  • Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp cardamom powder, 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder and 1/8th tsp pepper powder (bundle)
  • Mix and let heat till all spices blend in
  • Once its cooled to drinking temperature, add a drizzle of local honey 
  • Enjoy!
